Congratulations to Alan Tuttle for winning February Athlete of the month!!
Many of you may not see Alan workout as he has religiously attended the 8am Strength and Conditioning class for the past 1.5 years. His progress has been astronomical, and it’s a true testament of his hard work and dedication. It has been a lot of fun for Coach Nick Cerimeli to watch Alan grow stronger and fitter physically, but also more confident and healthy mentally. And now, he has joined the Infernal Nutrition group to take things to the next level! Alan, you are a true model of what we got into this business for, and we thank you for making our job enjoyable by pushing to your limits and growing!
1) What were you doing before you came to CrossFit Infernal?
Getting fat. Watching my wife get thin. I would go to Lifetime from time to time, but could never make a regular go of it.
2) What kind of animal would you describe yourself as during a WOD?
Bunny. Energizer. Keep going and going. Even really slow when the battery’s dying.
3) What are your goals/future plans with CrossFit?
Goals? Easy. Weight < 95kg and a six pack. I'm joining the Nutrition program at Infernal so I can get the 95kg thing.
4) What is your favorite/least favorite movement?
Favorite: Any kind of lat rows. Actually, I’m a fan of most “old school” free weight exercises, curls, bench, squat, etc.
Least: Burpees, Burpees, and Burpees. It’s sort of funny though. I remember doing them in high school, all the time thinking “this is stupid” because I could do them all day. Now, not so much.
5) Favorite Cheat Meal?
Potato chips and bourbon.
6) What is some advice you would give someone new to CrossFit?
Go or you’ll die. Seriously. That’s what I tell my wife.
“I have to go or I’ll die.”
